Happy 19th Birthday to Grace!!

First of all, Happy Birthday to you! You are finally 19. =P We'll be celebrating your birthday this year as a belated one again like last year since you are not here. But I'm sure we will always remember those years when we celebrated your birthday together. Haha All the fun we had. Not to forget the crazy cards we gave each other especially yours. Do you remember that you gave me money to buy the body glove bag and wrapped it up as a present for you because your mum didn't let you buy? So you asked me to pretend to give it to you as a present. lol That was in Form 1. Then now, well, this morning, you asked me to buy a car for you? haha You have to wait till I'm very rich next time to get you one. =P Anyway, here are some pictures for you. =)

Saturday morning

We had to go to school very early this morning for our Bio practical. I reached school at about 7am and I saw my friends with their white rats. lol


The one facing in front is my rat and the one behind is Audrey's rat. Both are males. haha

Well, we had to drown the rats after that. We put the cages in the pails or dustbins and waited for them to die. Most of us didn't want to look at the rats when they were struggling for air. Jacq's rat died in a more horrible way. It managed to push open the cage in the water and it was trying to crawl out but of course, to no avail.


We brought the dead rats back to the lab and started our practical.


Thats my rat. It had so much fat and I had to remove them before I could study the digestive system. We had to find the liver, stomach, spleen, pancreas, bile duct etc to get marks.


A nearer view of the digestive system. haha I had fun flipping around the organs till I had to study the respiratory system. ANyway, my rat is a male. You can see the two curly seminal vesicles at the bottom. Lol

I took so long to tie all the veins with strings so that i could identify them after i remove the lungs and heart.


One of the strings came off and I couldnt identify the left anterior vena cava anymore. Anyway, thats my dwarf palm according to Xu Vin.. haha

We didnt learn to draw yet. We will be learning to draw for the next practical. Anyway, it was a tiring but interesting day.

Teacher's Day

During teacher's day, I went out with my friends for breakfast. We had dim sum at Dong Guan and then one of my 'eating' friends was still hungry so we went to Coffee Bean after that. Lol It was so early that we had nothing to see in Sarawak Plaza after parking the car there. We walked around in the dark. haha

Well, fat people were trying to look thin according to Crystal.. haha!

After eating, we had to go back to school to do our Bio practical. Audrey and I took so long to draw the plan drawings and high power drawings of the C3 and C4 leaves. Right after that, we had to do our Chem practical. We had to do many tests to identify the anions. That was when the DUMB and DUMBER story started. lol Well I was DUMB and XU vin was DUMBER. Haha we both agreed with that. We did the practical together. First of all, teacher asked us to pour in a bit of dilute HCl to wet the carbonate salt before heating. But DUMB and DUMBER poured in too much till there was no more reaction left for heating. Next, we prepared one whole test tube of Nitrate(V) solution and realized we didnt even need that at all because all nitrates are soluble and we didnt need to do any test. So DUMB and DUMBER had to pour everything away into the sink and wasted the whole packet of salt. Haha Not only that. DUMB and DUMBER used one whole giant beaker to prepare a bit of acidified dichromate(VI) for the sulphur dioxide gas test. Pn june walked past us and asked us not to use the giant beaker as a small test tube would be enough unless we wanted to share with the whole class.. Well, DUMBER ended the practical by breaking a test tube. She was too excited when she saw a brush at another table. She wanted to rush for the brush to clean her test tube and she dropped it after getting too excited. DUMBER is pretty famous for breaking things in the lab. She broke a thermometer in the bio lab before too when she wanted to stir her water bath with the thermometer. lol!! Since I didnt break anything and she broke something, I was DUMB and she was DUMBER.

No more MUET

MUET was finally over for us yesterday. My group was the first group after U6A. Well, we were so nervous before our turn. We practised speaking for the whole morning till it was almost our turn. Trying different types of situations or topics. Haha In my group, I was candidate A, Xu Vin as candidate B, Audrey as candidate C and Edward as candidate D. I was nervous mainly because I was the first speaker. Less time to prepare my points compared to the rest. Anyway, we prayed so many times before our turn to make sure everything would be smooth. Haha It worked. =) Prayer is indeed very powerful. Our topic was ' Obesity among children these days and ways to prevent it'. After our turn, we could go back. Crystal and I went out to eat in the afternoon. I got lost when I went to pick her up. I couldn't find her lorong and I had to call her about it. Haha We ate japanese food till we felt so bloated and well, I couldn't eat dinner after that. I ate fruits for dinner only after that. lol greedy people. Obesity among greedy teenagers these days and ways to prevent it.
